Michigan Avenue Magazine Exhibition Preview: Lisa Bick at "One of a Kind," (Chicago, Ill.)

In advance of the 13th Annual One of A Kind Show this week in Chicago (Dec. 5–8),  the Windy City's premiere lifestyle magazine Michigan Avenue published a preview feature on the show, including Lisa among three of their favorite participants, selected from the more than 600 artists who showed at the event.

In her review of Lisa's work, Elle Eichinger of Michigan Avenue Magazine writes:

[Lisa Bick's] works might seem like two-dimensional paintings at first, but upon closer inspection one finds that the surfaces are not entirely smooth. Using a process called encaustic painting, Bick incorporates natural beeswax to create veins of texture into paintings and photographs that run the gamut from literal to abstract.
